Sloe gin 2022 is one of our younger sloe gin vintages. You still feel the full hit of the sloe berries but this liqueur is now starting to mature, so it is developing a velvety undertone at the same time. This gin is still light, fruity and sweet sour. It has a lovely vibrant cherry red colour and you really get a hit of gin when you drink it.
Sloe berries also known as Prunus Spinosa are the very ancient ancestors of plums. They are small, round, deep purple berries that are extremely tart with a large pip in the middle. You can not eat sloe berries, however added to gin, they make a beautiful fruit liqueur like our Sloe Gin 2021.
We forage for our sloe berries throughout autumn and rest them in gin for a good few months to draw out every drop of sloe berry flavour. We mature all our gin for a minimum of one year to bring you a truly artisan liqueur.

This is very fruity. A taste which you don’t get with a commercial mass produced product. It tastes great on its own but I enjoyed it most as a sloe gin and tonic.

Smooth and fruity, this sloe gin is utterly delicious. I love the story of the hand picked sloes and the maturing time but really it’s all about the taste and the care. Sweet sour, deep and gorgeous. There isn’t another one out there like it. Well worth the money.
