BlackBerry Bramble Cocktail

Blackberry isn’t the most common fruit in the bar. But the cocktails that blackberries appear in are pretty spectacular. From its lush purple red colour to its juicy sweet tart taste, blackberries are wonder fruits that bring a gorgeously complex flavour to cocktails. This blackberry bramble cocktail recipe is just the ticket if you love blackberries.

Blackberry bramble is perhaps the most well-known cocktail using blackberries. Traditionally it uses blackberry liqueur, however you can also use fresh blackberries or Crème de mûre. For our bramble cocktail we are using Forage Liqueurs Blackberry Vodka. This five year old liqueur adds balance and harmony without sharp blackberry notes.

50ml Gin

25ml Lemon Juice plus slice to garnish

1 tablespoon of simple syrup

1 tablespoon Forage Liqueurs Blackberry Vodka

Crushed ice

Mix the gin with the lemon juice, simple syrup and ice and mix well until cooled. Place your blackberry liqueur in your glass and gently pour in the mixed drink, trying not to disturb the liqueur. This will give you a gorgeous two toned cocktail. Garnish with fresh lemon and blackberries.

Bramble royale
Go glam with your blackberry bramble by adding a splash of champagne to the mix. Just make the drink as normal but reduce the amount of crushed ice by a third to make room for the champagne. Then top with 25-50ml of champagne, mix gently, add crushed ice if it needs it and garnish and serve.

We hope you will enjoy making this cocktail. Cheers!
